Micheletto Italian 800 Silver Shell Trinket Box with Sterling Shell Trinket Box
Item Details
A pair of vintage trinket boxes modeled after seashells, with one made of Italian 800 silver and the other made of sterling silver. The smaller cockle shell style trinket box is made of 800 silver and was produced by Micheletto of Milan, Italy. This piece has an Italian ‘10MI’ hallmark, an 800 silver fineness mark, and an approximate weight of 0.950 ozt. It is presented with a sterling silver scallop shell style trinket box, marked ‘925’ to its interior, with an approximate weight of 0.825 ozt.
