Wuersch Wood Carriage Clock

A Wuersch wood carriage clock. A 1983 clock from the Wuersch Clock Company of Fall River that features a cherry finished wood and veneer case that has brass hardware and glass side panels that display the brass interior of the clock. The case has a brass handle on a molded bonnet with a wood ledge and a cherry burl wood door with a glass front panel. The panel displays elegantly raised brass angel spandrels and a silvertone dial with black Roman numerals and black serpentine hands. The dial surrounds a brass center with a repousse clipper ship design and three key arbors. Other features of the clock include an 8-day time and strike movement with triple chimes and a chime silence lever and the clock stands on a plinth style wood base. The clock is marked ‘Wuersch’ on the front of the clock.
