A 1978 Xavier Roberts The Little People doll. This soft sculpture doll is named Pal, and features a needle molded head with hand-painted blue eyes, orange yarn hair, rosy cheeks, and dimpled arms and legs. He is adorned in a graphic tee with stylized text reading “The Little People” and a pair of Xavier Roberts jeans. The doll is accompanied by its “Certificate of Authenticity” This limited edition doll is hand crafted and signed by creator Xavier Roberts to the backside, and is a precursor to the iconic Cabbage Patch Kids dolls produced by Coleco, then Mattel, among others.
