Vintage Hand-Knotted Afghan Bokhara Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Afghan Bokhara area rug. This wool pile rug is woven in a palette of persimmon, black, turquoise, sand, and ivory and features an alternating field pattern of tekke and chemche guls. Framing the field are nine compound geometric guard borders and elem panels at either end featuring a hooked Chamtos style design. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and cotton warp fringe. It is not labeled.
