Chinese Carved Serpentine Covered Urn

Item Details

A Chinese carved serpentine covered urn with wooden stand. The lid features a pierced design to the top with carved rings to the side, the neck of the urn descends into a pair of quail carved out in high relief to the sides of the base of the piece. It rests in a carved wooden stand finished in a dark stain. There are no discernible maker’s marks.

- minor markings and wear noted to the urn; chips and wear to the wooden base.
