Antique Davenport and Mason Patent Ironstone
Item Details
A collection of antique Davenport and Mason Ironstone China. The six piece collection contains three plates, a serving platter and a sauce boat. The pieces are decorated transferred designs which have been hand embellished in an Imari inspired color palette. The Mason’s pieces are marked with the angular Mason’s mark, used from 1845 to and ‘Real Ironstone China Made ’by Ashworth, who also purchased Mason’s and continued use of the angular crown mark ca. 1862-80. The group also contains a Davenport oval dish with an impressed anchor mark used during the early to mid 19th century.
