A Chinese lacquered drum stool. This red lacquered piece features a scalloped edge seat with hand painted scene depicting two figures fishing and a seated woman watching over. This piece features scalloped apron sides with pierced handles rising on curved supports joined by a scalloped perimeter stretcher and terminating on shaped feet. There are no visible maker’s marks.
