Antique Van Bergh Silver Co. Pickle Jar and Tongs
Item Details
An antique Victorian pickle jar including decorative tongs from Van Bergh Silver Co. Rochester, New York. This set includes the stand, a clear glass pickle jar, lid and tongs. All but the jar are composed of quadruple silver plate and decorated with embossed scrolls, floral detailing, and etched ferns. The tongs show stylized bird claws at the end and the jar a cane pattern. It is marked by the maker to the underside and dates to the late nineteenth century.
