A fine hand-knotted Afghani Caucasian Kazak rug. This rug features an ivory colored field containing radiating medallions alternating in crimson, navy, moss green, and stone grey. The center field is bound on four sides by a principal border showing a resolved pattern of stylized floral motifs, which is flanked on both sides by minor borders showing an identical diamond pattern, one in cobalt and the other in moss green. The rug is finished with a double-wrapped selvedge to both sides and a natural warp fringe to both ends.
