Item Details
A hand-knotted Pakistani Jaldar Bokhara wool area rug. This rug begins with six central diamond medallions infilled with florets and hooked borders around each gul. There are wide multi-layered borders featuring diamond, chevron, and other geometric patterns with diamond lattice bands at either end and a final solid red border. This rug is worked in a palette of black, rust red, sun yellow, and ivory throughout. Selvedges are overcast, finishing with a short kilim skirt and warp fringe to each end. It is unlabeled.
