A vintage color etching on paper by listed American artist Gabor Peterdi (1915-2001), titled_The Sea Shines_ from a series titled A Genesis. This non-objective piece depicts two horizontal bands filled with short line work in an undulating field of blue on the top and green on the bottom. In the space between these is a geometric black form that is expelling a cloud of thin, curved lines with sharp pointed ends. It is signed to the lower right and dated 1966, and marked ‘XV-L’ to the lower left. The print is presented behind a mat and glass in a gold tone metal frame with wire to the verso for hanging.

Condition

- top right corner of frame is bent; discoloration throughout ground; warping, discoloration, and foxing throughout backing on verso of frame; scratches throughout edges of frame.
