Vintage Chinoiserie Hand-Painted Chest of Drawers

A vintage chinoiserie chest of drawers. The chest has a black lacquered finish, and it is hand-painted throughout with scenes of human figures, flowering tree branches and structures in colors of gold, brown and red. The chest has a bow front, and three dovetailed drawers fitted with ornate brass handles, and it rests on bracket feet. The interior of a drawer is marked ‘Morganton’. A sheet of protective glass, and two hand-embroidered silk panels with woven silk borders are included. This item matches item 18DET020-183.
