Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Mashhad area rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of cherry red, cobalt blue, coral, orange, green, cream, sky blue, and pink. It has a large circular central medallion with sixteen spokes and an almond shaped lozenge populated with arching sprays of flower blossoms and palmettes. It is framed with geometric and floral meander guard borders and a main border with a herati pattern. Finished with overcast selvedges and fringe to either end.
