Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of coral-red, emerald green, cream, charcoal grey, burgundy, peach, and black.It has a central hexagonal shaped medallion with sawtooth edges on a field patterned with a geometric herati design that continues onto the banded corner spandrels. It is framed by triangular and carnation meander guard borders and a samovar pattern main border. Finished with overcast selvedges and fringe to either end. Unmarked.
