Hand-Knotted Persian Serabend Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Serabend carpet runner. This wool rug features a mir-a-boteh design in a palette of ruby, dusty rose, cream, violet and cerulean. It begins with a ruby field populated with scores of small botehs in rose, violet, cerulean and cream. The field is framed by five borders, including a Serabend main border grounded in cream, featuring a complex geometric meander pattern. Minor borders include floret-meander patterns over dusty rose. Selvedges are flat and overcast, the rug finishing at each end with ivory cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
