Vintage Chinese Woven Silk Fabric for Jifu Robe
Item Details
A piece of vintage Chinese woven silk dragon fabric. This piece is comprised of four panels, and originally intended for use of making a jifu robe. It has a peacock blue colored ground, and embroidered with metallic threads featuring bold dragon motifs, accompanied by intricate clouds, fish, birds, and other symbolic motifs. The lower portion of this tapestry is filled with bronze hued diagonal stripes topped with waves. The reverse is lined in a solid aqua fabric, and it is unlabeled.
