A late 20th-century oil painting on canvas by listed artist Murat Kaboulov (Russian / American; 1939 – 2010). The piece depicts an abstract still life in a blue room. A vase filled with colorful flowers is placed to the foreground, reflected in a Baroque style mirror hanging on the wall. The work is signed ‘M. Kaboulov’ to the lower right, and additionally signed and inscribed ‘#385, Murat Kaboulov, oil/c’ to the canvas verso. The painting is presented without glass in a floating black wooden frame and is fitted with hanging wire.
Russian-born artist Kaboulov studied at the prestigious Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, Russia in the studio of Prof. E Moiseyenko and moved to Brentwood, Tennessee in 1992.
