A signed woodcut print titled Down By the River by listed American artist Michael J. Gallagher (1898-1965). This relief print image depicts two young children on a rustic footbridge crossing a stream. The work is initialed in-plate ‘MG’ and signed and titled in graphite in the lower margin. It is presented loose, unframed.

- toning throughout ground; wear to edges of ground; top left corner of ground is missing; adhesive residue on each corner of ground; foxing at lower center and verso of ground.
