An assortment of three vintage books. This collection features a 1965 Spanish-language edition of Próspero Merimée’s novella Carmen (best known as the basis for the Bizet opera), with illustrations by Spanish cartoonist Serafín Rojo Caamaño, published by Ediciones Marte of Barcelona and numbered 1564 in a limited edition of 5000; originally published as a paperback, this ex-library copy of the book is presented in a leatherette hardcover with gilt cover text and a gilt front cover illustration. The other books in this collection are Louis N. Parker’s Disraeli: A Play (New York: Dodd, Mead and Company, 1930) and the Official Automobile Book Book 1925, Volume One (Chicago: Automobile Blue Books, Inc., 1925).
