Item Details
A mixed media painting by Romanian-born artist Noche Crist (1909-2004). This piece depicts an abstract scene of twisting and fraying strips of woven gauze printed over a variegated ground with highlights that make them appear three-dimensional. It has a palette of muted yellow ochre, sea green, teal, white, and black. The work is signed to the lower right and attributed to the verso with an attached artist bio. It is presented behind a mat and glass in a wood frame with wire to the verso for hanging.

- discoloration and foxing throughout mat board; nicks and wear throughout edges of frame; discoloration and scuff marks throughout backing on verso of frame.
