An early 20th-century lithograph on paper titled The Church and Piazza of Santa Croce after a circa 1783 intaglio print by Guiseppe Zocchi and Carlo Gregori. The work depicts a festival and parade with figures, horses and carriages, set against a large city square and historic buildings in Florence, Italy. The print is attributed in plate to the lower margin, adjacent to an in-plate inscription of ‘Veduta della Chiesa, e Piazza di S. Croce con La Festa del Calcio fatta L’anno 1738 alla Real presenza de Regnanti Sovranti’. It is presented under glass in a wooden frame fitted with a small hanging tab to the verso.

- toning, foxing and discoloration throughout print; edge wear, nicks and scratches to frame; wear to frame backing.
