Antique Engravings of Rome's Obelisk of Montecitorio and Palazzo Farnese

A pair of 19th-century engravings on paper, each depicting architecture in Rome. Featured is Piazza di Monte Citorio in Roma depicting the historic Obelisk of Montecitorio, with the Chamber of Deputies building in the background. Also featured is a similar work titled Veduta del Palazzo Farnese in Roma depicting the Farnese Palace with fountains, horse-drawn carriages and pedestrians to the foreground. The prints are unsigned and presented under glass in wooden frames, each fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- to poor; foxing, uneven discoloration, stains and accretion to prints; creasing and warping to paper, with small tears to edges; scratches, edge wear and nicks to frames.

- measures one frame; each visible image measures 11.5" W x 8.5" H.
