A pair of Japanese gouache painting on silk landscapes. Featured is a painting of the Golden Pavilion (Kinkakuji) on the top. The two story pagoda is rendered in a snowy landscape near a body of water. Also included is a depiction of Mount Fuji with a small village and bridge at the center of the composition. No inscriptions are present to the composition. Both works are presented behind glass in brown mats and wood frame. Hanging hardware is present to the verso.

Condition

- accretion under glass; surface wear and tears to mats; dents and scratches to frame; broken wire hanger; bottom rail of one frame is bent.

Dimensions

- measures frame; visible image measures 10" W x 7.25" H; both are equal in size.
