1915 Named Knights of Columbus Presentation Sword by H.V. Allien with Scabbard

Item Details

A named Knights of Columbus presentation sword by H.V. Allien of New York. This piece features a brass helmeted head pommel with a grooved ivory-toned grip and an etched brass bowtie crossguard. The straight, double-edged blade is etched with floral designs and the words ‘Presented [to] Sergt. Eugene G. Grant by the Members of Co. M, 19th Infantry, N.G., N.Y, January 29th, 1915’ with the maker’s mark for H.V. Allien & Co., New York, N.Y. to the opposite ricasso. Also included is the original black leather scabbard with two studs and brass throat and chape.

Condition

- tarnish to the metal, with one spot to the blade; minor wear overall.
