A 106-piece set of sterling silver flatware in the Old Charleston pattern by Rogers, designed by Lillian V.M. Helander and originally released in 1951. The set includes twelve dinner forks, fourteen salad forks, twelve cocktail forks, twelve butter spreaders, twenty-four teaspoons, one sugar spoon, twelve soup spoons, three tablespoons, one gravy ladle, one pair of sugar tongs, and one serving fork; these pieces have a total approximate weight of 111.250 ozt. The set additionally includes twelve dinner knives and one cake server, each with a hollow sterling silver handle and a stainless steel blade. Each piece has a scalloped handle, adorned with floral blossom and scroll motifs, which is marked ‘Rogers Sterling IS Old Charleston’ to its underside. The set is presented in a wooden flatware chest from Reed & Barton with a brown felt-like interior lining.
