An offset lithograph titled President George Washington after a painting by former President of the United States Dwight D. Eisenhower (1890-1969), itself a study of the portrait by American portraitist Gilbert Stuart (1755-1828). It was given as a christmas gift in 1954 to Major Gerald D. Hall, a White House aide at the time. It is from a limited edition of 950, and is presented behind a mat and glass in a painted black frame with labels and hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- discoloration and foxing present throughout mat board; scuffs and wear along edges of frame; nicks at bottom left and bottom right corner on frame; discoloration and punctures throughout backing paper on verso of frame; discoloration and wear to labels on backing paper on verso of frame.
