A pair of vintage pen and ink illustrations by French author and illustrator Laurent de Brunhoff (born 1925). These line drawings depict the children’s book characters Babar the Elephant and his wife Celeste. Both are signed to a lower corner and presented behind glass in thin black wood frames with wire to the versos for hanging.

Condition

- discoloration and warping throughout each ground; nicks and wear to edges of each frame; adhesive aging and coming off of verso of each frame.
