Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan area rug. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of coral, azure, cream, mocha and black. It begins with an oblong floral medallion with pendants on four sides, the medallion resting on a partly open coral field amid sprays of flowers. The field is framed by a single broken border grounded in cream, featuring flowers and prominent detail in azure. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with short cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
