Vintage Hand-Knotted Turkish Room-Sized Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Turkish room-sized rug. This ivory-grounded rug has a tea-stained and faded appearance in a neutral palette of rust orange, cobalt blue, ivory, and yellow ochre. There is a central field of lotus flowers, palmettes, and leaves surrounded by a blue-grounded floral border that has a scalloped outer edge. The piece is finished with overcast selvedges and a short kilim skirt with knotted warp fringe on either end. It is unmarked.
