A 19th-century tintype photograph. This portrait depicts a photograph of a man with his body covered by a drawing of a smaller man’s body attempting to shoot a rabbit with a rifle at short range in the 19th century version of a novelty souvenir caricature. There is an artist’s mark to the lower left that appears to read ‘Kack Del – PatD Apr 14 ’74 – No. 23’ and the plate is presented unframed.
