Vintage Georgian Style Mahogany Highboy Chest on Stand

Item Details

A vintage Georgian style mahogany highboy chest on stand. This rectangular top chest overhangs two aligned drawers above three graduating drawers with a beveled waist over four additional drawers. The dovetail joinery drawers feature brass batwing plates and bail handles. The bottom middle drawer features a carved shell embellishment and a knob handle. This piece rises on cabriole legs joined by a scalloped apron and terminating on pad feet. There are no visible maker’s marks.
