Vintage George II Style Mahogany Sideboard

Item Details

A vintage George II style mahogany sideboard. This rectangular top piece with beveled edges overhangs five side by side drawers. The dovetail joinery drawers feature brass batwing plates and bail handles. The bottom middle drawer features a carved shell embellishment with a knob handle. This piece rises on cabriole legs joined by a shaped apron and terminates on claw and ball feet. There are no visible maker’s marks.

Condition

- right back leg is severely damaged/in danger of breaking off; moderate scratches to surface finish; significant finish wear, especially around edges and corners; marks and scratches throughout.
