A vintage hand-knotted and carved Chinese accent rug. This wool rug is rendered in a muted palette of cream and camel, with detail in lavender, peach and pale taupe. It features a vase design beginning with a single vase and bouquet floating in the center of a mostly open, camel-colored field, each corner of which contains a similar vase and flowers. The field is framed by compound borders, including a main border grounded in cream and filled with pedestal vases in the corners as well as floral motifs. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with an ivory kilim skirt and ivory wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
