An oil painting on canvas by American artist Gracia Dayton. This piece depicts a marshy landscape surrounded by a lush forest. It is painted with soft, gestural strokes of color and signed to the lower right. The piece is presented in a wood frame with wire to the verso for hanging.
Gracia Dayton earned her BS in Art Education at Skidmore College and has continued her formal art training at Boston University, The DeCordova Museum School, Bennington College, and San Francisco State. She has also held the previous position of president of the New England Watercolor Society and is a Gold Medal recipient from the same organization. Gracia now paints and teaches at her Lexington, Massachusetts and Catskill Mountain studios.

- scuff marks along edges of frame; adhesive and punctures in backing of frame; chip to upper right corner of frame finish.
