Chelsea Clock Co. Maritime Wall Clock

A maritime wall clock from the Chelsea Clock Co. The Chelsea Clock Co. was the maker of the original maritime timekeeper for the U.S. Navy in 1900. This clock is framed by a polished wooden case in the form of a helm. The clock body features a glass front surrounded by a brass ring. The brass face is engraved with Arabic numerals with sections marked in red. ‘Chelsea Clock Co./Boston’ and ‘Maritime Commission/Ser. No. 310’ are engraved above and below the hands, respectively. The number ‘313085’ has been stamped on the back.
