Hand-Knotted Persian Gabbeh Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Gabbeh area rug. This wool rug features a tribal-style design incorporating three stepped-diamond medallions, two of which are grounded in indigo, one in apricot, over an open, garnet-colored field. The palette is abrashed, in garnet, indigo, apricot, cream, burgundy and dark brown. Framing the field are sawtooth patterns and stripes in the colors of the palette. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with short cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
