Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Hamadan Carpet Runner
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Hamadan carpet runner. This wool pile rug is rendered in a palette of cochineal red, wine, teal, olive, ivory, cornflower, navy, and black and is centered by a diamond pendant medallion. The lozenge field is densely populated with geometric floral sprays and grounded by ivory corner spandrels. A pair of carnation meander guard borders frame the field and flank a primary leaf and blossom border over black. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and cotton warp fringe that has been reinforced. It is unlabeled.
