Hand-Knotted Romanian Floral Wool Accent Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Romanian floral accent rug. This wool pile rug is rendered in a palette of salmon, cornflower, rose, mint, goldenrod, sapphire, and ivory and centered with a diamond pendant medallion. The curvilinear field is densely populated with arabesqued vines, blooms, and palmettes and grounded by compound spandrels of salmon and cornflower. A pair of floral meander guard borders flank the stylized herati primary border over sapphire. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
