A 1957 ink drawing on paper titled Our Homes by artist H.J. Warren. This piece depicts an intricate line drawing of various types of homes throughout human history, beginning with simple huts to the lower left, transitioning through various styles of architecture to skyscrapers to the upper right. Shields representing blacksmiths, ironmongers, masons and founders are depicted across the top of the composition, and the title is written within a wreath of tools to the upper left. This work is signed and dated to the lower right. It is presented behind a brown mat, under glass, in a wood frame with a light brown and gold tone finish. A hanging wire is present to the verso.
