19th Century Wedgwood Imari-Style Porcelain Vase

Item Details

A late 18th century Wedgwood Imari porcelain vase. The vase features a gilded rim, stout neck, urn shaped body, loop handles that extend above the rim, and a footed pedestal base. The black and white exterior is hand decorated with Japanese inspired floral motifs in tones of rose, emerald, and rust throughout, and accented with arabesqued gilt work from shoulder to mid-body. Stamped to the underside is ‘Wedgwood’ in brown ink, dating the piece between 1878-1900.

Condition

- visible cracking in the glaze on bottom, slight wear and paint wear along rim, appears to be missing lid.
