Antique and Vintage English Transferware Including Copeland and Grindley
Item Details
A ten piece selection of tableware, featuring an antique selection of transferware by Copeland. This group included a covered tureen with molded branch handle and a pair of compotes. Each is accented with a black botanical band on a cream body. An impressed mark to the base is likely dated c. 1860-1867. These are accompanied by a footed bowl by Grindley & Co., decorated with a cobalt floral design. A registry mark to the base is dated c. 1893. Also included is an antique earthenware cup by John Alcock, decorated with a polychrome floral motif. It bears a registry mark to the base dated to 1848.
Also included are pieces by Haviland Limoges, J&G Meakin, and more.
