A Howard Miller grandfather clock with moon phase dial. A clock with a traditional style oak case with a golden oak finish with other select hardwoods and veneers. The case features arched pediments with a carved shell finial and burl ash veneer panels on the crest. The case displays an elegant style with glass side panels and reeded side columns that flank a two-tiered glass front door. The top glass panel displays a brass and gold tone dial with raised brass spandrels and a brass dial with raised gilded Arabic numbers accented with an etched decorative design and three brass key arbors. The dial features a circular fretwork panel on the center with an open escapement and black serpentine hands and a gold tone and blue enamel moon phase dial above. The lower door displays a polished brass pendulum with cylinder weights on chains and a German Kieninger 8-day time and strike movement with chimes. The clock stands on a plinth style base with burl ash overlays and is labeled ‘Howard Miller’ on the face.
