Vintage Replica of the Double Decker Steamboat "Nobska"

Item Details

A vintage replica of the double decker steamboat Nobska. The ship was constructed in Bath, Maine in 1925 and was known as the The Queen of the Sounds for her beauty as she traveled between Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, Massachusetts. She was part of the The Woods Hole, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority fleet and renamed the Nantucket shortly after launch. In 1956 her original name was returned. By 1973 she was taken out of service and scrapped despite efforts to save her in 20116. The folk art style replica is constructed of painted wooden and metal.
