An assortment of four Japanese carved wooden masks. These pieces depict two of the Seven Lucky Gods (七福神) including Ebisu (恵比須) and Hotei (布袋). Also depicted is the Japanese Noh Theater demon Hannya (般若) and Yōkai (妖怪) legendary folk creature The Tengu (天狗). All of the pieces present hanging strings installed to their versos for display and do not appear to include maker’s marks.

Condition

- minor scratches and minor dirt residues throughout the masks.

- measures the larger mask Hannya (般若); measures smaller mask Ebisu (恵比須).
