Oil Painting of Still Life Attributed to Charlotte Eicher

Item Details

An oil painting on canvas of a still life attributed to the Cincinnati-based artist Charlotte Eicher (1948-2007). This Impressionist style painting depicts an artist’s work station, featuring a vase filled with flowers, a goblet filled with brushes, and a canvas overlooking an arrangement for study. The unsigned painting is wrapped over a wooden stretcher. Eicher was known both as an artist and a leading figure in the design department of Kenner toys throughout the 1970s and 80s. Her career with Kenner led to work on the art design team of several major Hollywood movies in the 80s and 90s, including the Tim Burton film Beetlejuice. Her paintings have been a part of important collections, including the Cincinnati Bell collection. This graphic work is signed with her maiden name, which dates it to the early 70s.
