A complete fourth revised edition set of India through the Stereoscope by James Ricalton, with an antique stereoscope. The set includes a book fully titled India through the Stereoscope: A Journey through Hindustan conducted by James Ricalton. Part of the Tours of the World series, this early 20th-century fourth revised edition was published in New York and London by Underwood & Underwood. It is bound in a brown clothbound hardcover with gilt lettering. A map booklet with maps and plans is stored in a pocket adhered to the back cover of the book. Also included is the complete set of 100 stereoview cards, each with two albumen photographs, housed in a brown cloth box with gilt lettering, matching the book cover. An early 20th-century wood and metal stereoscope manufactured by Underwood & Underwood is included. The stereoscope was patented June 11, 1901.
