Vintage Haviland Limoges Hand-Gilded China
Item Details
A set of vintage Haviland Limoges hand-gilded china. This set of fine hand-gilded china was made by the iconic company Haviland Limoges circa early twentieth century, as well as several additional gilt porcelain pieces. Many pieces are monogrammed with the initials DMK and MKP to the exterior between draped leaf patterning. The coordinating pieces included are sixteen teacups, eighteen saucers, a creamer and sugar bowl, a pair of salt and pepper shakers, a pair of three-footed bowls with inwardly turned edges, twelve luncheon plates, twenty-four dessert dishes, six bread plates, a shallow serving bowl with scalloped edges, an oval platter with scalloped edges, and a serving plate with a ring handle at the top. The collection also includes a small serving bowl, a platter, three serving plates, and a gravy boat. Many pieces are ink stamped with Haviland Limoges’s logo to the underside, while one serving piece is marked ‘UNO Favorite Bavaria’ and dates to 1916, and several pieces are marked ‘MZ Austria’ and signed by Mrs. L Bensinger to the underside.
