Hand-Knotted Sino-Persian Tabriz "Vase" Wool Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Sino-Persian Tabriz wool rug. This rug is rendered in a variegated palette of white, cranberry, sky blue, rose, salmon, walnut, sage, pine, wheat, and indigo. The white hued field features a large scale ornate vase infilled with bird motifs, accompanied by an abundance of floral motifs, and more birds perched atop branches, as well as goats flanking the vase. Framing the field is an intricate flower filled herati main border, along with floral designed guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a fine cotton warp fringe to the ends, along with vinyl bands to the underside. This rug is unlabeled.
