Hand-Knotted Peshawar Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Peshawar carpet runner. This Pakistani-made wool rug is rendered in a tea-washed, variegated palette of taupe, cornsilk, sage, olive and caramel. It features an allover pattern of large and small palmettes amid flowers and leaves over a taupe field. The field is framed by four borders, including a herati main border featuring meandering palmettes and flowers over cornsilk. Selvedges are double overcast. Ends finish with tan cotton warp fringe. The rug is unlabeled.
