Hand-Knotted Persian Village Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian village area rug. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of scarlet, charcoal, mocha, sage and cream. It features three rows of diamond pole medallions, the outermost of which are serrated, while the smaller medallions in the center row are hooked. The medallions rest on a scarlet field, which is framed by two narrow borders. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
